Case study

A professional website for your business, live in five minutes.

Forge is a website builder I designed and built end to end. You pick your trade, fill in your details, choose a look — and your site is online. No developer, no hosting setup, no month-long project.

No signup required to try it.

The problem

Most small businesses are stuck between bad options

An agency

Thousands up front and weeks of back-and-forth before anything is live — hard to justify for a local business.

A DIY builder

Hours lost dragging boxes around a page, and it still ends up looking like a template.

No website

A social media page and a phone number, so customers searching for you simply never find you.

Forge closes that gap: the speed and price of a DIY tool, with the finish of something designed for your trade specifically.

See it working

Three real sites, built with Forge

Each of these was generated by the builder, then styled through the dashboard. They are live — open them.

How it works

Four steps, start to published

01

Pick your industry

Gym, salon, restaurant, retail, cleaning, agency — the starting content is written for that trade, not lorem ipsum.

02

Add your details

Business name, tagline, phone, address. Everything appears on the site as you type it.

03

Choose a look

Three template styles and six colour palettes, previewed live before you commit.

04

Go live

The site is published at its own address immediately. No hosting setup, no deployment step.

What it includes

A finished product, not a demo

Content dashboard

Edit every section — hero, about, services, gallery, testimonials, pricing, FAQ, contact — without touching code.

Lead capture

Contact form submissions land in a dashboard with read/unread tracking, so enquiries do not get lost in an inbox.

Visitor analytics

Page views over time, device breakdown and referrer sources — where your visitors come from and what they use.

Media manager

Drag-and-drop image uploads, stored on a CDN so pages stay fast wherever visitors are.

Reorder and hide

Drag sections into the order you want. Hide the ones you do not need. The live site updates instantly.

Your own address

Pick your URL, publish and unpublish on demand, and preview changes before anyone else sees them.

Under the hood

Built to stay up and cost nothing to run

Forge runs on Next.js and TypeScript with a PostgreSQL database, deployed as a single serverless application. There is no server sitting idle, which means hosting costs nothing at this scale and there is nothing to fall over at 2am. Images are served from a CDN, and every page is rendered fresh so a customer never sees stale content.

Why this matters if you're hiring me

I ship whole products

Forge is not a landing page with a form bolted on. It has accounts and sessions, a content management dashboard, file uploads, lead capture and analytics — the unglamorous parts that decide whether software actually works once real people use it. I designed it, built the frontend and the backend, and handle the deployment.

If you need something more specific than a template — a booking system, a customer portal, an internal tool, an integration between things that do not talk to each other — that is the work I do.
